Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a comedian, actress, and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of awards, including the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. She was named as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. She first came to the attention of an actress in 1974 when she was an actor in The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main ensemble in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). In the next year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received praise from critics for her performance as a comedic actress and as a writer, securing a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board led by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
